Yet again for those who did not/do not know that I can sort 'a sing.... In 1987 I was unhappy that I had not recorded music in a couple years. So I asked Johnny and Jeff DiMeglio, Gary Kosten, Brian Kennedy, and Dan Smith to create a sort of Elvis thing (with the production ear of Mr. George Schrein). Only we did the Blues in our sort of way. I remember that we rehearsed the songs a couple days before recording in the studio in/at my house on Madison Street in Clawson Michigan. It was a rather loud outting and my neighbors did not appreciate the high volume. It was mid-day. George was with me when I answered the door... The guy next to me was pissed. He couldn't hear his tv. (Eighth acre lots). So my neighbor was pouding on my door. And I answered with George standing next to me. "Hey, I can't here my tv!" "Okay" - I said. "No, I can't hear my tv!" George looked at me asking with his eyes what I was to do. "Okay - I said." And my neighbor just looked at me pissed. "Look, here's the deal. I'm going to keep practicing. I have no other place to practice, and I'm recording tomorrow. I'm sorry. So, if you need to call the police go ahead and do so." And, so my neighbor looked at me and said. "Okay." And he left. And I was certain he was not about to call the cops. George looked at me and said - " I've played in bands since I was five and I have never heard anyone say that to a person who was about to shut us down... Next time I'm just going to tell the truth. We're just going to keep on playing..."
