The following blurb is the official CEF promo of what's going on with this project... "Richard Dally (as Dylan) contemplates his impending demise in Laurence Moore's production of his digital short film titled, The Call.  theCEF.world is assisting Mr. Moore's development of this project."  The thing is, my friend Laurence has a brilliant eye for film and story telling, however, he does not have the means to create the vision he holds in his head, therefore, I have extended whatever skill and tools I possess on behalf of this effort.  The call is a well written short film about a young fellow having to face his own mortality.  Basically, I'm shooting the project and assisting in the production of this one.  I have really enjoyed working with Rich and Laurence on this.  And, over the next month, or two, I expect we have two more days of shooting.

Actor turned filmmaker. 

I moved to Los Angeles in 1997 with my wife after working as an actor in the MidWest for many years. In those days I was lucky enough to work in different venues, stage, film, digital, radio... I also bought a pair of parachute pants and performed original music live for a while in the eighties. Eventually, I made my way to L. A.,. Upon the birth of my son in 2000 it quickly became apparent that I was not going to have an easy time auditioning in Hollywood with a baby strapped to my back, so I began to shoot my own digital projects. Some of my work is posted here.. Currently, my YouTube channel (iconjohnny) mostly features cuts from the feature length dramady titled Wearing Hitler's Pants. That movie takes a rather unusual look at the mounting of a Nazi play on a small stage somewhere in Hollywood. It's not Star Wars, but then again.., its not suppose to be... My work can also be accessed through iconjohnny.com (the Icon Johnny Company has been closed).

I cannot stress how amazing I think it is that Google/YouTube provides this service for all of us. It allows us to be known in a way that was impossible only a few short years ago. Regardless, as a director I believe you will see an ability in my work to realize characters that are compelling to watch. It has been a grand ride so far and I am working to better my ability with each new project. I have created my own production company which can be found at iconjohnny.com. I am currently producing a documentary on a group of people who contend the government has harassed them for years due to their interest in UFOs and alien activities... Never a dull moment.

Wearing Hitler's Pants is a feature length satire that I wrote directed and produced ..    It ain't Doctor Strangelove, yet, Matt O'Hare and Dave Kramer (along with many others) gave me some really fine acting work on this project.
